Biography | Joan Rainsberger came to First Christian Church in June, 2005, as an Intern. Having completed her Bachelor of Arts Degree from Lincoln Christian College in Preaching Ministry, she is presently the Pastor of Women’s Ministries. She is presently enrolled at Eastern Mennonite Seminary working in the Master of Divinity program toward ordination in the Christian Church. She is actively encouraging and promoting leaders in the Women’s Ministry at FCC and in the formation of small groups. She conducts Women’s Spiritual Renewal Services that enhance the spiritual journey of women, not only at FCC, but also in the District XI churches in the Shenandoah Valley. She is desirous of leading women to a deeper, more intimate relationship with Christ that they may become the women God has called them to be. She has a heart and passion for the lost and evangelism is one of her primary goals in reaching the Shenandoah Valley for Jesus Christ.

Joan and her husband, Dan, are residents of Winchester. Dan is a substitute teacher in the area, and they have three adult children and five precious grandchildren. Both daughters are in ministry, and their son is a musician. Joan and Dan love to travel and spend time together, along with enjoying their grandchildren. Joan enjoys reading history and gardening
