Meet Pastor Rob Lovett
Pastor Rob came to First Chrsitian Church in june of 2005 after serving almost 10 years as a Pastor in the United Methodist Church. He started as Associate minister with a focus on Youth ministry. After the Senior minister left in 2006 and an interim minister departed in December of 2007, Pastor Rob filled in preaching on Sundays in 2008 unitl the search committee found a suitable Senior Minister. The search committee decided in late 2008 not to look any farther than their own church, and made Pastor Rob Senior Minister in January of 2009.
Pastor Rob enjoys playing golf and tennis, along with photography and video. Traveling in his RV and camping is his favorite way to relax. Watching sports is also a favorite, especially the NFL, and College football and basketball. His favorite teams are the Redskins and the WVU mountaineers.
Rob married Suzie Varney in October of 2005. Their blended family has 4 children. They are preparing to become "empy nesters" as the youngest of the four will enter college soon.
Pastor Rob beleives that the "Great Commision" in Matthew 28 is the churches respsonsibility. "We should always be about the Lords business, making Disciples of Jesus Christ and expaninding the kingdom of God."

Meet Pastor Joan Rainsberger
Pastor Joan came to First Christian Church on June 1st, 2005, as an Intern. Having completed her Bachelor of Arts Degree from Lincoln Christian University in Preaching Ministry, she is presently the Associate Minister with a concentration in Women’s Ministry. In addition to her duties at the church, she is currently attending Eastern Mennonite Seminary, working on her Master of Divinity degree with a concentration on Pastoral Ministry and graduation and ordination in April, 2013. She supports the Senior Minister in church growth, worship and Christian education. She is actively encouraging and promoting leaders in the Women’s Ministry at FCC and in the formation of small groups. She conducts Women’s Spiritual Renewal Services that enhance the spiritual journey of women, not only at FCC, but also in the District XI churches in the Shenandoah Valley. She is desirous of leading women to a deeper, more intimate relationship with Christ that they may become the women God has called them to be. She has a heart and passion for the lost and evangelism is one of her primary goals in reaching the Shenandoah Valley for Jesus Christ.
Pastor Joan and her husband, Dan, are residents of Winchester. Dan is retired from the federal government and from substitute teaching in the areas school systems. They have three adult children and five precious grandchildren. Both daughters are in ministry, and their son is a musician. They love to travel and spend time together, along with enjoying their grandchildren. Pastor Joan enjoys reading history and gardening.
